Members of the community with any enquiries or in need of support can call the City of Bunbury on 9792 7000 during office hours (8.30am to 4.30pm).

If you have concerns regarding your insurance coverage, contact the Insurance Council of Australia.
This program provides financial assistance for homeowners, small business owners and tenants to access recovery-related professional advice or advocacy services that are not available through other recovery assistance measures.
These services may include specialist financial counselling/planning assistance, legal and contractual advice, building and planning advice, and advocacy services.
This program does not cover costs directly related to repair or reconstruction works. Instead, it aims to support applicants in navigating the recovery process by providing expert guidance. This program does not provide upfront emergency cash payments to applicants.
The Department of Communities is co-ordinating immediate and long-term support for community members displaced by the recent Bunbury storms on 10 May or 1 June.

If you are a small business proprietor whose assets or premises have been directly impacted by the Bunbury storms on 10 May or 1 June, you may be eligible to receive a four per cent interest rate subsidy on new loans taken out for the purposes of repairing damaged assets or business carry on costs.
To be eligible for the subsidy you need to be a registered small business with an ABN, employ less than 20 full-time staff, operate locally and derive your main source of income from the business, and demonstrate that the loan required is a direct result of the Bunbury Storm.
This assistance is jointly funded through the Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements Category B.
South West Community Legal Centre can organise free assistance to people who may need help making insurance claims and dealing with disputes, mortgage stress and financial hardship, debt, employment law problems, housing/tenancy complications and the replacement of important documents.

On 13 August 2021 the State Government announced an independent review into the Wooroloo Bushfire. Submissions were open from 20 August 2021 to 8 October 2021 and have now closed. The review was released in March 2022.
