If you are a homeowner whose property has been damaged or destroyed by storm damage associated with TC Ilsa you may be eligible for a grant of up to $50,000 to help you undertake repair and rebuild works. Eligible works must be completed by 30 June 2026.
This grant program is jointly funded through the Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements.
If you are a small or medium business owner that was directly impacted by Tropical Cyclone Ilsa, you may be eligible for financial support to assist with costs associated with clean-up, repair and reinstatement activities for your business. Eligible works must be completed by 30 June 2025.
This assistance is jointly funded through the Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements.
If you are a small business proprietor whose assets or premises have been directly impacted by TC Ilsa, you may be eligible to receive a four per cent interest rate subsidy on new loans taken out for the purposes of repairing damaged assets or business carry on costs.
To be eligible for the subsidy you need to be a registered small business with an ABN, employ less than 20 full-time staff, operate locally and derive your main source of income from the business, and demonstrate that the loan required is a direct result of the cyclone.
This assistance is funded through the Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements.
Grants of up to $75,000 are available to assist pastoralists with out-of-pocket clean-up and reinstatement costs incurred as a direct result of Cyclone Ilsa. The grant covers activities such as the removal and disposal of debris, damaged infrastructure and equipment, deceased livestock; salvaging crops; and repairing damaged infrastructure and equipment. Eligible works must be completed by 30 June 2025.
This assistance is jointly funded through the Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements Category D.
The National, Conservation and Marine Parks Clean-up Program funds the clean-up and repair of minor infrastructure in Rowley Shoals Marine Park that was damaged by TC Ilsa.
The Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions is managing the clean-up program.

On 13 August 2021 the State Government announced an independent review into the Wooroloo Bushfire. Submissions were open from 20 August 2021 to 8 October 2021 and have now closed. The review was released in March 2022.
